Network Engineer
Full-Time Position
Your responsibilities:
- Design, implement, manage, and troubleshoot network infrastructures including Cisco routers/switches at branch offices, Aryaka SDWAN, AWS and Azure cloud networks, Fortinet firewalls in AWS, and Checkpoint firewalls at the branches.
- Manage change on all installed network systems and infrastructure for the company while liaising with the vendors to ensure the smooth running of all systems and implementation of required changes.
- Provide ongoing network administration input, including network security measures, network management, backup, and disaster recovery planning.
- Perform analysis of network needs and contribute to the design of network architecture, integration, and installation.
- Work with vendors to resolve any issues in the functionality and interoperability of new hardware, network software, and connectivity.
- Prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts.
- Train staff on network and information security procedures.
To fit this post, we look after:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with network technologies, including Cisco, Aryaka, Azure, Fortinet, and Checkpoint.
- Advanced knowledge of network architecture, design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent understanding of VPNs, firewall management, and network security best practices.
- Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate, Fortinet NSE, and Check Point Certified Security Engineer (CCSE) are preferred.
- Ability to work in a multi-vendor environment, coordinating with service providers to ensure high availability and prompt resolution of issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
